VETERAN
sportswriter Lito delos Reyes of the Philippine News Agency was re-elected as
president of the Sports Communicators Organization of the Phils. (SCOOP) Davao
yesterday at the Royal Mandaya Hotel.
‘I’d like to thank all my fellow Scoopers for
giving me another mandate,’ said the 48-year old Delos Reyes, who ran unopposed.

Jimmy Javier, proprietor of Beefit Gym and gym manager of Metrolifestyle was
elected as the new vice-president while columnist Marilyn Roque of Mindanao
Times is now the secretary.
The other
newly-elected officers are Fore Golf’s Manuel “Gogo” Alba as Treasurer,
Smashville’s Michelle Corpus (Business Manager), Land Transportation Office
assistant regional director Macario “Bong” Gonzaga (Auditor), photographer
Roland Jumawan (PRO), Mindanao Times sports editor Jon Develos (Director for Print),
DXUM Radyo Ukay’s Marlon Gayog (Director for Broadcasting) and Mindanao Times’ Ricardo
“Boy” Lim (Director for Photo).
City Sports
Office Deputy Chief James Infiesto and his son Jandee of Bonjee Entertainment acted
as the Comelec.
Also present
were Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Davao Chapter president Roy
Geonzon of UMBN, photographers Tomas Avancena of Gold Star Daily, Racky Acac of LPIC and Tommy Inigo, columnist Romy

The induction
will be held during the Christmas Party on December 11 at 6 p.m. The venue will
