Power Nutri Drink 3-on-3 loop

DAVAO CITY --The Brokenshire Science High Schoo, Holy Child School of Davao and Davao Jones Academy shared top honors in the Power Nutri Drink 3 on 3 Basketball Challenge last Saturday at the Rizal Park.
The four-some of Brokenshire's Kendrix Agcopra, Jericho Deiparine, Ace Castillo and Leonel Surban bested the Davao Jones Academy team B of  Jomar Tupanan, Raymond Terceno, Mark Leelo Maghuyop and Arvin Pungog in a shootout, 3-2 to win the title in the Junior division.  
DJA team C played by Joemarie Balod, Cherwen San Jose, Rhian Phete Daverao and Johnly Ver Burgos settled for third place.
"We had to play the finals in a shootout already due to the heavy downpour," said tournament coordinator Rael Diaz.
DJA team A, however, won the Cadet title via a similar 3-2 shootout also over the Shepperd My Lamb Christian School. DJA team A was composed of Nicholas Peloquero, Robert Baja, Joel Libres and Michael Rodriguez while the Sheperds were Onjie Caralde, Carl Christian Palmero, Ian Angele Redillas and Troy Cubillas.
Third placer was Colegio de San Ignacio bannered by Rossel Antivo, CJ Lawrence Enot, Diego Cero and Michael Curbo.
Holy Child, on the other hand, beat its own sister team HCSD-B, 4-2 to rule the Mini division. 
Team A was played by SEiya Taga, Kent Pastoriza, Geezon Guianan and Edmaryk Niepes while team B was represented by Aspen Dale Banos, Prince Arnold Silva, Dan Gabriel Eliesea and Ermman Gems Aham.  Assumption College of Davao settled for third place. 
Trophies and gift packs from the Living Power International Corp. (makers of Power Nutri Drink) and Virginia Foods were awarded to the winners by LPIC president Dr. Chanita Villegas-Chua, Vice President Reynaldo Tesoro and LPIC Davao Depot owner Julie Acac-Saren.
The one-day event participated in by 32 teams was also supported by Nature's Spring Water and the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas Region 11 Chapter under Director Regino "Boy" Cua. 
"We will definitely have a next event this summer to launch also another product that is really good for the athletes," said Tesoro. LITO DELOS REYES
