‎1st Davao City Call Center Invt’l hoops set



DAVAO CITY – The first Davao City Call Center Invitational Basketball League (DCCBL) will start next month with at least eight teams expected to see action.
The tentative playing dates are from January 20 to March 17 while the venue will be announced later according to tournament chairman Maki Ancajas at the weekly SCOOP of the Royal Mandaya Hotel las
t Tuesday.
“Our intention is to engage with the call centers, empower its talent pool and to create friendships within the realm of basketball,” Ancajas said.
The league will be presented by the Accomptrove Outsourcing Services. Registration fee is P5,000 per team to be composed of 10 to 12 players, who must be a bonafide call center employee for no less than six months. Deadline of registration is on December 28.
Teams will be divided into two brackets and will play seven games during the elimination round. The top two teams will advance into the cross-over semifinal knockout match.
“We are committed to making our basketball tournament an enjoyable, friendly and empowering event,” Ancajas said.
The league committee must approve any roster changes. Request for changes must be submitted one week before the opening of the tournament.
