Industrial Foundation High School survived against the hard-fighting Emar High
School in overtime, 77-69 in the first Emilio Escandor Memorial Cup basketball
tournament at the RMC gym last weekend.
It was
Agro’s second straight win in Group B of the Junior division while Emar
remained winless in two outings.
Janrex
Tahanlangit and Stephen Curada exploded
with 21 and 20 points, respectively for Agro while Danilo Daniolco added 19.
In the
other game, Assumption College of Davao made its presence felt with a
convincing 76-56 victory over Ford Academy for its first win in Group
A Junior. Patrick Quidato and Jhay Oquitas led ACD with 13 and 12 points while Jay Jabican had 17 for Ford’s losing effort.

league is organized by Glen Escandor and is sanctioned by the Samahang
